Overview:
AM has immediate openings for Contact Tracers to support state and local efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic at the community level. Candidates must be willing to undergo an appropriate background investigation to determine suitability and eligibility to work in public trust or sensitive positions. This is a REMOTE position. Start date 4/20/2020.

AM seeks to hire, train, and supervise teams of community Contact Tracing staff within at-risk counties and states across the United States. Combined with more widespread testing, contact tracing is seen as an essential part of the public health strategy to keep coronavirus in check after the first wave recedes, and the economy reopens. As overall infection numbers diminish, hospital and first responder capacities stabilize, and the general public attempts to return to normal activity, containing small outbreaks will be imperative to avoid further spread and resurgence.

Contact Tracers will use a web-based client resource management (CRM) platform to reach out to contacts of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 with the goal of documenting a symptom check; referring contacts for testing according to established protocols; and providing them w/ quarantine guidelines. Contact Tracers will be required to strictly follow all scripts, policies, and procedures provided by the (local/state) governing authority, and comply with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) training regarding confidential information related to personal information.

Responsibilities:
Call contacts of newly-diagnosed patients
Communicate with contacts in a professional and empathetic manner
Collect and record information on symptoms into the CRM
Provide contacts with approved information on state/local quarantine procedures, and, if appropriate, refer them to testing according to protocol (and/or to a COVID-19 Care Resource Coordinator for social resources.)
Contact Tracers will follow the script to inform contacts about the importance of quarantine, and what to do if symptoms develop. They are not permitted to deviate from the script, or provide information that is not included in the script.
Contact tracers will be required to use their own telephone, computer and electronic equipment
Maintain daily contact with the supervisor
Qualifications:
Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress
Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals
College degree or equivalent required
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Second or multiple languages a plus
Critical thinking and sound judgment required
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Proficiency with computers
Technology requirements: PC with Windows 10, Antivirus Protection: Windows Defender and Windows Firewall; or Mac with Apple OS X 10.13, Antivirus Protection: Sophos; and personal mobile device to use for this job. (A headset is preferred.)
